A brand is a business' identity. For a brand to be effective, it must authentically represent your business and all aspects of that business.  The logo featured with this post is one I designed for a business idea that I was unable to pull off. TYD stands for Trulyours Designs. I've never been good at using typography, so I drew the letters by hand. I specifically drew the letters to work in a shape that can be used as a sticker. I imported my hand drawn sketch into Adobe Illustrator and used the brush tool to create the letters for the final product. I kept my color palette simple to place emphasis on the letters. Week 3 Part A: Aesthetics, Design, and Branding

How true this statement is manifests itself from the moment the website loads. Some websites are a sheer joy to visit due to the selection and arrangement of their visual and textual contents. Other sites can be really difficult to navigate due to poor design. This can be especially cumbersome if the site is one you must use regularly.  Gates N Fences A business website in need of improvement is Gates N Fences at https://gatesnfences.com. The first hazard of this website is the lack of hierarchy and the overabundance of text. It's overwhelming. It appears that every product they sell is listed with text, a picture, and a product description. It is truly a hunt and click opportunity for the viewer. Week 1A: My Blog Theme

  While my blog theme looks like something that was easily coordinated, I actually spent a lot of time on it before arriving at the finished product. I first investigated three separate Blogger themes of varying subject matter: Abstract, Home and Garden, and Celebrations. I also customized each theme with different background and font color choices through the advanced options customized drop down selector. While I liked all three theme selections, none of them really resonated with me. Upon reviewing Professor Faulk's blog guidance video and sample blog, I changed my theme direction. I had also viewed some company blogs like Disney on Blogger for ideas. I decided to use this assignment to gain real world experience for future business blogs by uploading a photo of my own for the theme.
